About the Teacher
Wilfried G. Souly is a passionate instructor and cultural ambassador dedicated to sharing the beauty, rhythm, and traditions of West African and Mande dance. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the Mande people, Wilfried creates an engaging and inclusive environment where students of all levels can connect with movement, music, and community. His classes emphasize authentic technique, cultural understanding, and personal expression, blending traditional dance forms with joyful, energetic learning. Through weekly sessions, Wilfried encourages participants to build confidence, improve fitness, and experience the powerful storytelling traditions embedded in West African dance. Committed to preserving and celebrating African culture, he welcomes everyone to explore the rhythms, history, and spirit of Mande dance while fostering connection, wellness, and cultural appreciation through movement. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE DANCE ARTS
You are supporting the continuation of our endeavors to bring more of the cultural dance arts to Ojai. Without the support of our community we would not be able to continue furthering our dance traditions and passing the joy and passions of dance from generation to generation.
